Slippz
Privacy policy
October 14, 2026
Slippz is a carousel maker at slippz.com. This policy says what the site stores, why, and who else handles it. It covers the website, the editor, and the account pages.
What we collect
If you only try a draft, the carousel stays in this browser. Creating an account adds the details below.
- Account. Email address, display name, and the sign-in method (email, Google, or X). Passwords are stored only as a hash by the auth provider. Slippz never keeps the password itself.
- Profile. The name, X handle, and photo you put on slides. Signing in with X can fill these from that account’s public profile. You can change them.
- Voice. Once a handle is on the profile, Slippz can read a few of that account’s public posts, write a short voice prompt from them, and save both on the profile. You can edit or replace that prompt and those samples. The next deck uses what you saved.
- Carousels. The slides, design, title, and a thumbnail you save to the account.
- Billing. Your plan (free, lifetime, monthly, or annual) and a Stripe customer id. Card numbers stay with Stripe.
- Drafts you ask us to write. The link or text you paste. When the profile has no saved voice yet, a few public posts may be read while that draft is written and then dropped. A voice you save on the profile is kept with the account.
- Use of the site. A coarse address (IP) and a count, so free and Pro drafts stay inside the daily limit. Sign-in attempts are rate limited the same way.
How we use it
We use this information to run the product: sign you in, save carousels, draw your name on the slides, write a draft, apply a paid plan, and stop abuse. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build an advertising profile.
Who else processes it
These companies process data on Slippz’s behalf, only for the reason listed.
- Supabase stores accounts and saved carousels.
- Vercel hosts the site and the serverless functions.
- Stripe takes payment and runs the customer portal.
- Anthropic receives the source text, and a short voice sample when one is available, in order to write the slides.
- Google and X handle their own sign-in when you choose those buttons. X also publishes the public profile and posts we read for your name and voice sample.
If you paste a link, Slippz fetches that public page or post so the draft can be written. Private, deleted, and paywalled pages are not bypassed.
Cookies and this browser
Signed-in sessions use httpOnly cookies (sb_access, sb_refresh, and short-lived cookies for sign-in). A cross-site page cannot read them. The browser also keeps a local draft, your slide name, and a purchase token in local storage until you clear it or save into an account.
How long it stays
Account details, the saved voice, and saved carousels stay until you clear them or ask us to delete the account. Server logs and rate-limit counters are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the site.
Your choices
You can change your name, handle, photo, and voice on the account page, and you can delete a saved carousel there. To delete the whole account, email hello@slippz.com from the address on the account. You can also disconnect Google or X from those companies’ own security settings. That stops future sign-in with them. It does not by itself delete the Slippz account.
Children
Slippz is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Continued use of the site after that date means you accept the update.
